This Pinto was owned by Bud Martin and built by Bob Cuneo's Chassis Dynamics
of Oxford Connecticut during the summer of 1976. Denis Pierce who was subbing for Willie Beardsley drove it as the #30 for that season. The 1977 season opened with Willie going back the his #851 and rather than find a new driver, Bud let the car sit until the summer of 1980. Bud was then approached by Bob Wells who wanted the car as a replacement for his son Ollie's wrecked Vega. Ollie drove this car as the #12 until the Racearena closed in 1981. It then ran with the club at Thompson for several years until it was parked at Chick Stockwell's farm in Woodbury. It wasn't until October of 2003 when a man from Bethel made a deal with Ollie to restore the car. Only the body and tin had been removed when in August of 2004 the car was purchased by Mike Flanagan who completed the restoration. The frame was sand-blasted, repaired and painted. The front end was rebuilt, new ball-joints, brakes, tie rods etc. The rear was rebuilt, painted and installed. New shocks, brake lines, fuel cell and fuel lines were installed. An engine and transmission were also found for the car and installed. Also during this time, it was learned that the rear springs were built by the legendary Richie Evans.
